RIP Edmond Hillary…
The other day, Sir Edmond Hillary died. I went to the husband and said oh guess what and his response was…. who’s Edmond Hillary? The minion had the same response. Le Sigh. If you don’t know, go google him and learn something why don’t ya!
Anyway… it was the man’s humility that always impressed me. It was how he could face these huge risks and challenges and still be so humble.
Some of you know, my husband and I have a couple of irons in the fire. Well, one of them has gotten bigger and we’ve been presented with what will be a huge risk or a huge shiny opportunity. I am fairly sure we’re taking it but goodness, it scares me.
We were given this chance on the day Edmond Hillary died. A man that took great chances and risked life and limb and all I’m risking is humiliation and financial ruin. Seems paltry in comparison but I’m a wimp. WIMP WIMP WIMP WIMP
Wish me luck lol
On a happier note…
I’ve uploaded a sample from the sketch I have from Rah of one of the new boys… I will take ahh the first 10 questions posted about it! One question per post pleasssse to be fair =)
Annnd yes stories plural because I’m crazy and nutty and stupid. <stuffs her favorite swordsmen for hire behind the door> YOU DIDN’T SEE THAT DID YOU??

Edmund Hillary was a great man, I agree with you.
Good luck with that “iron in the fire” thingie you’ve going on!
Hopefully everything goes well.
Oooh, the new boy is soooo cute. But he looks a little bit sad on the picture. We can ask questions?! Oh my……. *has about 1000 questions spinning around in her head* It’s difficult… I shall ask “What does he do for living? You know, work, occupation or whatever role he has in his country / world. ”
You mean you’re continuing “Springtime Duel”???? O_O
January 13th, 2008 at 4:00 pm

Holy crap! Yay! Is this the guy from that “A Sky So Blue” story? God! I’ve been waiting for that story since February!!!!!! I’m am excited!
So my question is: If that IS the guy from “So Blue”, can we expect the story to be out after you finish Embers & Snowflakes?
If so, I will be PSYCHED!
If not, I will still be happy. I like coming on and finding new stories about ANYTHING.
YAY!

January 13th, 2008 at 9:52 pm
Ooo, I’m so excited. Is he from an existing story or is this a completely new world?
January 13th, 2008 at 9:58 pm
It is not a sequel… lol 7 to go!
January 13th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
Nothing ventured nothing gained, eh? Even if you don’t turn into super rich famous types with this “iron in the fire” you’ll at least have some life experience to go off of!
Is there anything…supernatural about him, or is he a (lovely) plain ol’ human stud muffin?
January 13th, 2008 at 10:01 pm
Plain ol’ human… stud muffin is subjected… what flavor is a stud muffin… eeew bad thoughts BAD THOUGHTSSSSS
6 to go….
January 13th, 2008 at 10:04 pm
A delicious little snack cake, he is. Complete with cream filling! *dies at bad joke*
January 14th, 2008 at 12:03 am
I think I see bandages on his arms, is he a troubled youth?
And to be honest, I didn’t know who Edmund Hillary was either. I had to google him.
Climbs Mt. Everest and in the President of that Himalayan Fund that I see on TV all the time. That takes some serious drive.
Sounded like a great guy.
Hearing you talk about so reverently about someone who did so much makes me feel a little shallow when I talk about great comedians or writers who die.
But I digress, good luck with your opportunity. I hope your irons….uh, turn into….shiny things? I don’t know! I’m not a blacksmith, I don’t have good metaphors!!!!
Luck!
January 14th, 2008 at 12:24 am
Ah… he’s going to get into trouble… =)
And thing is, Edmond Hillary or Janis Joplin, they all add something to our lives. Like reflections of parts of ourselves we don’t normally see or don’t ever want to see or don’t even think are there… it’s sad to lose any of them…
January 14th, 2008 at 2:28 am
Wow it’s hard to choose which question to ask but I suppose I’ll go with…What will his partner’s name be? If that’s not allowed then how about what is his name?
Hope everything works out with that opportunity of yours!
*goes to Google Edmond Hillary*

Sam and Didar totally sent my mind whirling! WHOOSH… How the heck didn’t I never heard of “A Sky So Blue”? Are you continuing with Cole and co in the near future? pleazz
As for this cutie buddy, man, I don’t really know: Is “When is his story released?” a valid question? ;p
otherwise erm Is he the shy type or the outgoing type?
Luv your stuff Sarah keep going huh!
January 14th, 2008 at 11:20 am
His name is Noah… =)
4 to go!
January 14th, 2008 at 11:24 am
I won’t count the So Blue question… but Under a Sky So Blue is a story I started oh last January and the first 10,000 words poured out and it will be nifty and cool and it would have been last years story BUT Embers ate my brain. No kidding, it did. It kept scratching at my thoughts and I said okay I’ll write like the first part and go back to blue but I wrote like 15,000 words in Embers the first week and it refused to give me my mind back until it was made important. Cole and Hue will be continued, I have ideas for their long story but it isn’t firm enough yet. I really want to get Hue laid!!
as to the current question fest… Saturday or next Monday.
3 to go!

Late Christmas wish: Let one of those stories be the prequel of All Souls Pass.
Please?
January 14th, 2008 at 2:19 pm
Nope, is not an All Souls Sequel or prequel! (that isn’t ready yet)
Hmm does that count as a question….
SURE
2 to go… and ooo I feel like a sneaky genie!
January 14th, 2008 at 5:35 pm
Squee! He’s so shiny looking (translated to he’s so pretty looking but shiny is a cooler word) My question be this: What sort of world setting is he in, such as modern
world or some medival setting or such. I can’t wait to read O_O
January 14th, 2008 at 5:36 pm
p.s I totally did see that ^_^
January 14th, 2008 at 5:44 pm
Modern setting
1 to go bwahahahahaha make her a good one!
PS You so totally did not! =p
January 15th, 2008 at 6:37 am
Ooooh a lovely site so we can talk to Sarah more, hiya Sarah *waves* :-))) (Of course it’s not a b*@g dear… perish the thought, I hate all that stuff too
Hmmm, Noah!… what’s his chief personality trait? (I’m secretly hoping for another sassy, mouthy character like Macy or Rez
And OMG Embers is OVER?!?!?! How did that happen??? Oh Noes *sniff sob* but I loooove Deseem so much, will he be back soon?
Huggles and loads of luck with the venture - and I honestly think just respecting Sir Edmund and all he did, particularly for the Sherpas, as you do, makes your soul that little be shinier.
January 15th, 2008 at 7:39 am
Now I feel guilty because this isn’t a good question and it’s the last one, but would it be a good time to read the duel story now?
January 15th, 2008 at 10:02 am
=p Tapsui I found a theme to make it pretty! I didn’t make the theme because I suck but even I can click and upload lol
His chief personality trait… hmmm hard to boil anyone down but I am going to say faith (but not going to say in what!)
That’s all the questions about the new story POOF gone going to have go mum now!
Yeah Embers is over but there will eventually be a sequel to deal with like all the non-romance get to know you stuff…
January 15th, 2008 at 10:02 am
And aleinad… yeah you might want to read it…. < hides>
