One The Road Again… Update 2-24

Heya heya!

So here I am in Tucson after way to long on various planes and the fun fun experience of sleeping on London’s floor. I was so busy running around getting ready to leave that I didn’t have time to post I was leaving!

Chapter for Monday is up now, woot! Midweek chapter may or may not be up on time but if it isn’t look for it on Saturday when we’re hopefully home safe.

London’s dog is freakin’ adorable and Tucson is warm and sunny. I keep going OH CACTUS OH PALM TREE and the locals are looking at me funny. BAH

So here we are, safe and mostly packed up ready to go. We’re going to hit Tombstone today for sure so look for you tube vids and photos of it for stuff to inspire you for all that great smutty goodness. Not to mention the announcement of what cool prizes we find there.

=) Today is running around Tucson, getting the apartment packed and the car loaded. Then it’s off to Kon Tiki and to see cactus. CACTUS! Yes I’m a dork.

I’ll be adding stuff to this post as we go so look for it to be updated.

UPDATE 2-20-2008

Woot! We’re alive! The trip is taking longer than we’d expected. We didn’t get to leave Tucson until LATE MOnday night but we made it to Tombstone mostly sane and in one peice. We found a great motel and got kicked out of a saloon, hung out a local cowboy bar, spent the night and did the tourist thing in the morning. I’ll post the details and vids and photos later but we found Tombstone prizes, can’t entirely remember what they were but they’re bought. I know we picked up playing cards and stuff. Fun touristy stuff!

From there our next big stop was Roswell where the dog attacked and killed an alien and more prizes were gathered. BUmper stickers, magnets and growing aliens abound for this one…

AND we went to White Sands and got to sled on sand dunes, CRAZY FUN!

We’re in Fort Sumner now and off to the grave of Billy the Kid tomorrow, cross your fingers because the trip is going well but slow and we might not ever make it home! =)

UPDATE 2-24-2008

HOME dear hairy lord we’re finally home! Rolled into town about 3 pm or so local time, got London’s car unloaded and then off to dinner. So here it is now 11:30 pm and I’m finally home and safe and sitting on something that isn’t moving. Ended up taking a faster route because the weather was good and it made up for the late start.

On my to do list: 1) WRITE I’m totally out of story in two of the three so tomorrow and some tonight will be spent catching up and getting that done. 2) POST yes I know, Midweek’s chapter as well as Sat.’s s late. Don’t worry, it’ll go up, might take me a day or so but they’ll go up. None will be skipped. Monday’s is written so no worries there. Monday may be Monday’s chapter and last Midweek, this Midweek might be this Midweek’s chapter and last Sat’s but they’ll all get done and posted. 3) Tell you all about our trip and the cool prizes we found for the contest. We have photos and videos and all that fun stuff but really getting the chapters done and up is the most important. Hang in there and bare with me… contest will be open for a while yet.

Just wanted to let everyone know we’re home alive and safe and mostly, partly, sane… sane is over rated though…

Holy crap! You were where I live… you went to the bar I’ve gone to all of twice… (I hope you got the coconut milk punch, non-alcoholic but delicious). Locals tend to take the cacti in stride, but it reminds me of when I went to Orlando and kept going “Look, water!”. Too bad you didn’t come in springtime though, cacti are gorgeous when they’re in bloom; the chollas and prickly pears put on a particularly impressive display of color.

Y’know, I’d read the beginning of If I Lay Here when I was sick and there’s still a nasty bug going around, it was eerie.

  2. Jean Says:

Whare are you?? Will we ever get updates on the stories again?

  3. Sarah(b). Says:

Woah! Such fun! XD Sounds like you’re having a blast thus far. *waves handkerchief fondly*

  4. Sarah Says:

=p Jean in 2 + years I’ve missed two chapters, one was because my birthday was on a Sat. the other was the Monday after a death in my family. All chapters will go up, they’ll just be delayed due to spending a week in a car and not having a single moment to write anything. I’m hoping I have all three up tomorrow but worse case it’ll be two and than two on this weeks midweek update. Don’t worry, none of them will be skipped!

  5. Theresa Says:

Woot! Glad to hear you ladies are home safe and sound. I’ve missed you!!!! I swear the past two weeks have been the longest in forever. Will be nice getting back into the swing of things … smut, getting whipped by London … more smut. ;) Chat with you soon! ~ A Thrall

  6. Dragonshade Says:

glad you’re back! I missed you guys. I’m a sad cookie at not being able to afford to check the site anymore, but food is more important X3. I’m glad you had a great time!

  7. Mandolin Says:

Glad to hear you ladies are home safe. That was the big worry I think. We were hoping you were having a ball, just slightly worried we hadn’t heard anything. Get some rest after all that driving. Enjoy your own bed!!

  8. Sarah Says:

OMG you have no idea how happy I was to be home! I’m such a cave dweller! Slept like a log too, which was really nice. Going to work on writing today but please, everyone, spread the word about the contest! Info and prizes will be posted tomorrowish? When I get some writing done. =)

  9. CaityJay Says:

Yay! I’m glad you had a good time; sometimes leaving the cave can be a good experience (although I find staying well within cave perimeters to often be the better one, as well). I was starting to get a little worried about you ladies, too, but mostly was just yelling at you never to leave your home again so we can have our smut! XD Very selfish, me. But I am very happy to hear that neither you nor London (nor the dog) got raped or tire-ironed or anything really scary like that. And in the end, I’m also glad you went with her because a) Road trips suck when you’re alone (for example, 16 hour drive to Bellingham, WA from San Francisco in the middle of the night alone = way uncool and very unsafe), and b) Two women and a dog are a lot scarier than one woman and a dog, unless the dog with the single woman is a big nasty scary looking thing. Or if she is good with a gun and/or pepper spray. But in general, traveling in pairs = good thing! Sorry to babble! Glad you’re home safe.

  10. Yami no Ite Says:

I agree with Mandolin. I was also beginning to get worried. I mean, you said the midweek chappy would go up Saturday, but you didn’t turn up then either…. Glad to hear y’all got home safe and sound.

  11. Sarah Says:

We are alive and thank you everyone so much for being worried! Nice to know you’re missed =) I had planned to write on the plane but blah that didn’t happen and I had hoped to be well ahead in the stories so they’d be pre-written but that didn’t happen do to things going on in the husband’s life. It’s a GAH moment and Those chapters will go up, even if it won’t be when I want them to be. Literally, as soon as I have them written, they’ll be posted. It would be kind of cool to have like Tarin tonight, Epi tomorrow, Epi Weds, Noah Thursday and again Noah on Friday! Or like three chapters up in one day or something neato like that. Just have to type my fingers off to get it done. I’ve been promised most of Tuesday as “alone” time to write… makes it sound all dirty and perverted when he says it like that….

  12. Kitsuna Says:

Why yes… yes it does sound dirty…. But we won’t hold that against you. Glad ya’ll had fun, and Terri… yes there is lots of water in Orlando o_0. It’s been so long since I’ve been out of state, just seeing more trees than usual gets me excited >_<. And like most people here I too enjoy my cave, as my parents have dubbed it. It’s dark and cozy and I’m a vampire. Next time ya’ll should come down this way and hang around, y’know… Disney, Universal, malls, con season woot (doll meet ups at cons for those of you who may be BJD fans <__>) and I have no life so you could look me up :p Rest well and enjoy your “alone time” *snickers like 5 year old*

  13. Wraith Says:

Haha, yeah, Tucson is amazing. Cactus and hot weather year round take some getting used to, trust me. I lived there for six years. So if I had still been there I probably wouldn’t have been one of the locals looking at you funny. =D As it is, I’m still getting the strange looks from the locals here in Tokyo when I go, oh, another sushi restaurant! Oh, another weird vending machine! XD Hopefully I’ll get over it soon, I’m spending the next five years here….

Glad you made it back safe! And that does sound horribly, horribly dirty… *giggle*
